Metallica Should Concentrate on Music, Not This BS

// July 19th, 2003 // Comments Off // Metallica, Music

Please tell me this is a freakin’ joke! For the remaining Metallica fans out there that haven’t been disapointed by their recent music outings, or disgusted on the whole Napster crap, this should bring your respect, admiration or whatever a few clicks down. It sure as hell did for me.

Update: it’s a hoax, but I wouldn’t put it past ‘em, especially that dickhead Lars Ulrich.

Mellower With Age

I guess this isn’t uncommon, but I’m finding the older I get, the more in music I like that’s mellower. For my birthday, I asked for Michelle Branch’s CD, Avril Lavigne and I’ve recently gotten into the stuff I’ve found by Kelly Clarkson. I also really like LeAnn Rimes’ song “Life Goes On.”

Now don’t get me wrong, I still can’t get enough of Van Halen, Metallica, etc. but I also like a lof of the mellower female vocalists out there. I’ve always liked Jewel a fair amount, but I’m finding I like a lot more of them that are coming out recently. I’m really impressed by Michelle Branch and Kelly Clarkson. Branch seems like a really great songwriter and singer. I really dig her song, “The Game of Love” with Santana. Clarkson’s voice is just really beautiful.

Too funny, but also a very cool cause to keep music in the schools. It really would suck to see music fade away from school.

I’ve been around music my whole life, with my dad playing everything from Dylan to Metallica, playing guitar and my mom singing and playing piano. But a lot of kids are only exposed to music through schools (and the radio). More power to the Muppets.
