Cycling Jersey.. Signed By Me?

So this off season, I’ve been doing a fair amount of weight training in the private gym (Brown Strength and Conditioning) in the building where I work. Originally, I utilized that gym only for its shower facilities, allowing me to shower after my morning bike commutes in.
But over the course of the last few months, Aaron Brown, the owner of gym has really been working with me one-on-one, creating a totally customized program to work at building strength for cycling, and to also address my body’s (many) shortcomings, such as my weak shoulder muscles (ever since my surgery way back in college).
Well the dude is really trying to grow his business and is starting to get some real elite athletes from high school aged, up to some older dudes who run marathons and the like. He’s even got a kid who drives open wheel race cars (Indy cars), which is pretty impressive.
So as I’m lifting today, he’s talking about jazzing up the barren walls of the gym with some custom decorations. He wants all of us who actually compete to give him our respective jerseys and autograph them. He’s going to frame them, along with a photo in competition. I thought that was a pretty cool advertising mechanism and pretty flattering.
So anyway, as I just finished up our 2009 jerseys and sent them off to Voler for processing, I’ve got to look into ordering a second jersey to donate to him. At first I was thinking $60 was a ton to just give away, but then I got to thinking it’s the least I could do to help out Brown Strength and Conditioning and thank him for all the time and coaching he’s putting into developing me as a competitive cyclist.
It’s really flattering and will totally be an honor to see my Tri-Cyclist jersey framed and hanging on the wall.
