Cycling Weekend

// May 9th, 2009 // Cycling, Personal Crap

So with my friend Michael coming in from D.C., I knew we’d be getting some real miles in the saddle. I think we’re at a little under 90 miles so far, with another 50 or so in the morning. We started out with an afternoon ride around the house, going from Ravenstone out to New Light and back for about 37 miles. Then, the real pain was this morning – we went down to Carrboro to ride with my team. The racers on the team wanted to mixed things up and really push the pace and MIchael’s the perfect person for that. In the later miles, I was really feeling worn out from the combined tough miles and the increasing heat. The ride in all ended up being almost 53 miles . Did I mention it was hot? Tomorrow, some teammates are meeting us out this way. Michael and I need still compose up a route tonight for our 8:30 start in the morning. I’m thinking we’ll do some miles around Falls Lake and/or up to Bahama.
