Five Apps for the Cyclist
// August 8th, 2009 // Apple, Cycling, iPhone
Here’s a quick post on this warm Saturday night in central North Carolina (which is looking to lead into an even warmer Sunday.
Anyway, this quick post contains two things I love: cycling and my iPhone. Here’s a list of five apps great for cyclists. Like one of the article’s commenters mentioned though, I’d put RunKeeper in the mix there as well. Also, as I’ve found recently with my geocaching app, and previously with RunKeeper, any of these applications that utilize GPS will suck your iPhone dry, whether it’s the 3G or the 3GS.
Also, while I like the RunKeeper interface, none of the tracking apps will ever replace my Garmin Edge 305.
