As I muddle through typing this entry on my iPhone’s WordPress app, I’ve just handed over the final leg of our trip home from Orlando back to Durham over to Amanda.

As I write this, we’re about to hit the NC border as we continue to barrel up I-95 towards I-40.

Our 10 day stay in Central Florida was a blast, hanging out with Amanda’s parents, brother and his fiancé, along with several of her FL friends.

I really feel like I took full advantage of the great weather, cycling all but two of the days (One was a rainy cold day. The other was Christmas). I even got a top ten criterium race finish and had two days where I did solo training in the morning and then got a laid back set of greenway rides in with Amanda who rocked her new clipless pedals.

All in all, it was a blast and we had a great vacation and holiday. Now it’s good though to be our home state and getting closer to our own home with the knowledge that there are still a few more days of downtime, and probably some more bike rides.
