Heading to Greensboro to See Van Halen

// April 21st, 2012 // Music, Van Halen

Bout to get on the road to see Van Halen with David Lee Roth at the helm. This’ll be a first. I’ve seen Roth during the Sans Halen tour with Hagar, but this will be the first time seeing him with the Van Halen family. I dig the new album, A Different Kind of Truth, and hope they feature a bunch of those tracks mixed in with the classic tracks from the late 70′s to early 80′s.

Come to think of it, it’d even be cool if “Me Wise Magic” or “Can’t Get That Stuff No More” were thrown in there. Doubt it, but how cool would it be to hear those rare gems live?

I’m super-psyched. Hope it rocks. Expect a review of the concert soon.

    Went to see van halen last night in greensboro. I was so disapointed. They r one of my favorites and I wanted to cry cause they were so awful. David lee roth was winded he sang whatever lyrics he wanted when he wasent talking his way thru the song. And also forgot the words of dance the night away and told the guys to go straight to the chorus cause he lost his place. He actually said that

    Sucked. Whis I had my $400 for tickets back.
    Roth is completely washed up.
    No air conditioning per David Lee Roth’s request.
    My wife overheard coliseum employees discussing it, says it negatively impacts his vocals.
    What a joke!!!!!!! Kool and the Gang killed it though.
    If the Van Halen family wants to continue ringing the register against past glories they should shop You Tube for a karaoke pro like Journey did. Alex Eddie and Wolf were solid as always.

    I agree with Michelle and rbs,roth
    sucked.After the first 6 or 7 songs
    roth really went downhill,fumbling his way
    thru the songs talking / singing whatever
    came to mind.I guess its all a big
    joke to him.Like rbs said the Van Halens,
    Ed, Alex and Wolf were great as always.
