Original Cast On For Ghostbusters III

So I thought that the long-rumored and even longer awaired third installment in the Ghostbuster film series had transformed into the Ghostbusters game destined for the next-gen consoles later this year, but it turns out that another film is in the works as well. Rumor has it that it’s going to have the original cast reprising their roles, ready to hand over the reins to a new team of Ghostbusters, which may have a few females (Dan Aykroyd mentioned wanting to see Eliza Dushku and Alyssa Milano in it).

I hope it’s good. I hope the new team can live up to Bill Murray, Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver. No one’s mentioned bringing back Rick Moranis, but it’d be great to get him back for at least a cameo as well.

I’m looking forward to hearing more about this. Let’s hope they don’t remake and screw up another film from our youth with a cheesy remake.
