Predicting the Final Four Based on School Fight Songs

Go Heels All these wacky ways of predicting the Super Bowl winner, the World Series winner, etc. always pop up right before said events. Why should the Final Four be any different? Regardless, I’m a fan of anything that picks Carolina as the winner, as wacky and as unrelated to reality as they may be.

The reason we come out on top is pretty funny:

By my reckoning, UNC will win the tournament thanks to its defiant fight song, which takes school spirit to the grave: “I’m a Tar Heel born / I’m a Tar Heel bred / And when I die I’m a Tar Heel dead.” That’s what I’m looking for in a college sports fan—complete cradle-to-grave devotion…

Regardless, here’s to hoping we’ve got a good game tonight, and see one more on Monday night. Go Heels!
