The Next iPhone: Warp Speed, Mr. Sulu

iphoneI love all these rumors about the third iPhone as June nears. I really hope the vast majority of them come true — significantly faster processor, more storage, more memory, a better quality camera (with auto focus and video capabilities).

This new phone can’t come soon enough for me, as my original Edge iPhone limps along with its cracked screen and a faulty headphone “sensor.” Please Apple, make this new one available soon, though it sounds like the announcement is right around the corner, but the availability date isn’t likely to be until July.

    Heck yes!! I also have the “edge” version (although I prefer to call it the iPhone “classic” because it sounds classic-ier) and am having the headphone sensor issue as well. (I thought I was the only one).
    I am all over iPhone v3 like flies on a rib-roast. If history is any guide, only 50% of the rumors will come true, but there will be 5 new features that 1-no one event considered, 2-most journalists will not understand and 3-will revolutionize the smartphone world. Journalists will call it a “disappointment” because their pined-for Zune-style FM receiver wasn’t introduced and Apple will go on to accumulate more cash than a Russian oligarch with an oil contract.
    Hint: short Palm stock. All of the journalists love the Pre–read: it will be an abject failure.
