Tour de France – Prison Edition

// May 26th, 2009 // Cycling, Strange & Bizarre

Tour de France – Prison EditionI checked the date — it’s not April Fools Day. A group of prisoners in France will be cycling around, fostering teamwork. Breakaways and sprints will be disallowed and there are no rankings. So in reality, the Tour de France – Prison Edition is more of a supervised group ride, than a spring classic. This would have made Michael Scofield’s job in the first season of Prison Break a whole lot easier. He’d have just hired Lance Armstrong to get locked up and then would take a strong pull with the Scofields in tow.

Strange stuff though, and I like Yahoo’s headline (linked below) – “What Could Possibly Go Wrong?”
